Give me a chance! I'l give you a cookie! :)

Hi all! Apple here.

I apologize if this thread seems familiar, b/c I had one for EA Yale earlier. But now, given my deferral, I'd like to post my college list and see if my stats fit my colleges okay (or if I'm grossly overestimating myself...). I'd like to make 1 or 2 last minute additions, because my parents are okay with shelving out the money, and I'd like to make sure I get into the right colleges.

Suggestions and comments will be duly rewarded with sugar and eternal thanks!

My List:

Yale
Harvard
Columbia
UPenn (Wharton...got tricked into this one)
NYU Stern
Cornell
Washington U (St.Louis)
Rochester U
Penn State Honors (Schreyer)

I'm now considering the addition of (just 1 or 2...not all! xD):

Carnegie Mellon
Bucknell
Rice
Tufts
Haverford

...I'm like to stay on the East coast. And I'd prefer a simple application I could easily do over break. Major'd be econ or business (but subject to change, so flexibility preferred).

What do you think? Help me, you collegiate gurus! >_<

Thanks. I don't mean to be offensive--I'd just like to be safe so if there are any other schools I could take a shot at, I'd like to know...

I can't figure out the weighted/unweighted sys because our school is old fashioned and doesn't use them *tries to fix*

Help yourself to an e-cookie. Hope you don't mind chocolate chip! ^_^

ok, we actually have similar stats.... heres my schools

ACCEPTED:
UCLA
Cal
UCSD
Duke
Harvard
Georgetown
Stanford
Princeton

REJECTED:
Brown
UPenn
Cornell
Darthmouth

the extracurriculars DO seem like the typical asian..... but its still good... i did random stuff that no one would think about like volunteering at an AQUARIUM and i was a volunteer/assistant coach for SoCal Special Olympics

STILL, I SAY you have a great shot

OTHER SCHOOLS YOU CAN TAKE A SHOT AT: hmm..... this is ur senior year?? if not, apply to UCLA (my school) or Cal because its apps are closed for the UCs..... how about Duke or Emory?

Haha, wow. Those extra-curriculars make all the difference xDD Yours are spectacular, and mine are rather...lackluster

But thank you so much for the detailed analysis! I'd love to take a look at UCLA and Cal but I promised my parents I wouldn't venture so far west...just yet. That's funny how Stanford, Harvard, and Princeton accepted you, but Cornell didn't. So much for easiest Ivy status xD

I actually think I'm going to apply to Chicago. Another top tier school *shot* but their econ program's so good I can't pass it up!

Question (if you don't mind): Did you explain some of your more peculiar extra-curriculars on a separate, attached sheet?

Oh, and go Asians! *offers bubble tea along with those cookies*
