med program for average student?

indian male
very competitive school

gpa: 3.9/4.0 w
class rank: n/a
SAT: 2070/2400 (720M 720CR 630W) - I am retaking.
SAT II: Math ii - 730 - will take chem and one other

extra curriculars:
- vp of model UN (3+)
- Treasurer of asian club (3+)
- Class vp freshman yr
- medical futures club (1+)
- Literary group (1) - wrote schools first literary mag
- RIME (1)
- VP of youth council, Pres. next yr (2-3) - community service projects. work in volunteer opportunities ranging from helping special needs children/adults monthly to MCing and hosting am annual cultural diversity showcase. (200+ hrs)
- volunteer @ hospital - (20+ hrs)
- Worked as webmaster, did some web maintenance and logo/brochure design for local vet hospital. (paid).
- NHS
- History honor society
- got into a scholars science academy program at local hospital for this summer

thats the basics. im lookin into tcnj/umdnj, bu, drexel/drexel, drexel/villanova, miami, and other programs. if not programs, how about chance at RU (instate) lol.

You don't look so average to me. You are a junior, I assume? What courses have you taken this year and will be taking next year? If you are a superstar student taking truly difficult courses, APs for instance in the maths and sciences, competitive premed programs are a good consideration. If you are not, you might want to consider smaller schools that will nurture you and support you in your med school quest. Schools where the grading curve is not steep and there are not hundreds/thousands of cut throat premeds all competing for the colleges support for med school app.

cptofthehouse: yeah im a junior. im taking all honors course except im taking ap stat and i took ap calc ab in soph yr. i would have taken ap chem and other ap sciences except my counselor told me i had to take a study hall when i moved to the school after my freshman yr. if not the study hall, i would have taken chem, and eventually ap chem this yr, but what can i do =/

nxt yr im taking ap bio, ap psych, ap euro, ap calc bc (just for the 5 - possible credit in future).

the average person doesnt have a near perfect gpa and an SAT above 2000.
