Actual Results

White Mid-western Male
GPA: 3.888 at a competitive, private college prep school taking the most challenging classes available to me(school rejects AP curriculum).
College: will graduate from high school with approximately 32 college credits and an A average.
ACT: 34 composite
SAT II: Math 800 Physics 750
extra-curricular activities:
Football team captain and two-way starter.
Trivia team captain.
Knowledge Bowl state champion and captain.
National Merit Finalist.
240+ hours as a sound tech, currently the lead sound tech.
Bausch and Loumb honorary scientist.
Jazz Band, Chamber Choir and Choir, with which I have performed internationally.
etc. etc. etc.

Edit: multiple 2nd in state finishes on the American Association of Teachers of German test, Top 400 in the national American Association of Physics Teachers contest.

Admission Results:
ASU accepted 23,000/year scholarships.
UMN-Twin Cities accepted 8,000/year in scholarships.
MIT-rejected
Caltech- wait-listed.
