U of Chicago - Aiming to high?

I am a high school student from North Carolina planning to apply EA. Can you please rate my chances.

4.48 - Weighted GPA
3.87 - Unweighted
36/360 - Class Rank

ACT: 27 (I Know it's low. Took June of Sophomore Year, will retake in June and one more time in September)

Your extracurriculars are great, but you just need to work on bringing up your GPA and test scores. If you get a 31, I'd say you're a weak match.

you have excellent ECs. the academic stuff can use some work because colleges are above all academic institutions, not places to show off ECs.

Honestly, if you break 31-32 on your ACT and write some solid essays (UChi loves those), you are a match. Don't sweat the GPA (it's good enough).

Agree with all the above, your EC's are amazing. If the ACT doesn't seem to work for you, go for the SAT's, some people seem to do a lot better on one than the other and it seems to me you're definitely capable

Though I would have to say go for Duke!
