| Chances at these top schools? (I'm not optimistic about them)
I'm currently an Asian-American junior from a highly competitive public school in Maryland.
Interested schools:
- University of Pennsylvania- Wharton (My sister was an undergrad there.)
- Georgetown University
- University of Chicago
- Northwestern University
- University of Virginia
- New York University- Stern
- Brown University
- Cornell University
Unweighted GPA:
-Freshman Year: 3.86
-Sophomore Year: 4.00
-Junior Year: 4.00
Weighted GPA: 4.69
PSAT Score:
Sophomore Year- 198
Junior Year- 217 (Not good enough for National Merit Semifinalist by Maryland standards)
AP's Taken:
- Psychology (5 on AP exam)
- Government and Politics (4 on AP exam)
- Calculus AB (Recently took AP exam)
- English Language and Composition (Will take AP exam)
- World History (Will take AP exam)
- European History (Will take AP exam)
Senior Year, I plan on taking the follow AP classes:
- English Literature and Composition
- Biology
- Statistics
- Calculus BC
- U.S. History
My SAT score will most likely end up being around 2220 to 2300.
I am taking the SAT II World History and Math I in June, the ACT in June, and
SAT in October.

- Secretary of Junior Statesmen of America (Jr. year)
- Class of 2009 Student Council (since Soph. year)

| Well I've taken numerous SAT practice tests and have generally scored between 2250-2300, and I just took the SAT in May, but I haven't gotten my score back yet. But I think it is somewhere between 2220 and 2300. | |

| Keep in mind about UVA that a lot of students from Maryland (especially around Bethesda) apply to the University to competition to get in may be rather tough.
That being said, I still think you have a decent chance. Can't speak for the other school though. BTW if you are gonna do Cornell for business/econ its best to steer away for AEM for the best possible chance. | |

| it might be harder since you're asian, but i think you definitely have a shot at the top schools
since your school is competitive, you may have better chances -- just out of curiousity, how many people from your school generally get into ivies and top schools? | |

| lol yeah it sounds really lame
basically
you have one hour on the computer using microsoft word. they give you a packet and they have a bunch of typed information inside. u basically have to retype all the stuff in different formats such as in a memorandum, business letter, minutes for a meeting, etc.
in addition to the computer portion, you also have 1 hour to complete a 100 question written test, and the questions on it ask you about formatting stuff, shortcut keys, etc. | |
