LSE: In

Really? I thought that would have been 30% as well...

Im guessing Oxford and Cambridge will be a little tougher though?

No, LSE is not a surefire acceptance...it's a really good school and there are no guarantees. Plus, UK schools really only give weight to your grades/scores plus the interview, so all your ECs aren't going to help with that. Also, you can only apply to either Oxford or Cambridge, so you'll have to decide on one or the other (and yes, both of those are about as tough as Harvard/MIT to get into). UChicago is not a 70% chance either; their economics program is top-notch (second only to Harvard perhaps) and very competitive for admissions. Don't apply there on a whim either...the school itself is very "intellectual" (Ivory Towerish) and the environment may not be one you can appreciate.

U have very good leadership stats, and ur numbers are pretty good. (why would you not count freshman yr??) However, I'm thinking ur within range of any of those schools, but simply being a leader but not having any awards or anything is not that good...
My opinion:
Stanford - Reach, maybe high reach
MIT- High Reach
Harvard - Reach
Princeton - High Reach
London School of Economics - No clue
Yale - Reach (maybe a bit lower b/c of all ur leadership postitions)
Columbia - Low reach
University of Chicago - Low reach
(UC Berkeley) -Low reach
(UC LA) - Match or low match

Btw, I know you said ur good at math...but I'm sorry ur stat's don't really reflect it 2 much. The only thing i saw was an 800 on the math SAT and SAT II, and loads of people get those. U need tangible results

yea i see what you mean.. but i mean i have an aptitude for it i guess. but yeah, i have NOT won any awards for math

but i mean all of my friends get 800 on subject and reasoning for math but is till perform much better than them in class.. maybe that will reflect? i've always gotten A+ in all of my math classes.. (our school happens to show plusses and minuses)

here's an update.. if it helps my stats at all..

I just got 800 on Biology E which is amazing because I thought i got like 5 wrong.. maybe the curve was better this year (May) ??

I'm planning on taking US History and Physics in June.. if I want to go into econ, will a bad history score hurt me or should i be aiming for 750+?

any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
