Chance an asian :)

Target schools: Stanford, Cal Tech, MIT, Cornell
Me: Asian, guy

Academics:

State: Minnesota

Unweighted GPA: 3.94 , ranked 6th in class of 465
Weighted: 4.32, ranked 1st in class
All A's except one A- and one B+

I've been in an accelerated math program since 7th grade at the university of minnesota, and I am currently taking junior college classes

PSAT: only 217 but I should be a semi-finalist based on the last 10 yr's cut-off mark
SAT: 2320
ACT: havent taken...practice tests scores are between 34-36.
SAT II: 800 Math II, 700 US History, going to take chemistry and physics later, expecting mid-700s to 800.

Employment

I've volunteered over 300 hrs at local hospitals and libraries.

Activities

Varsity math team
Varsity science olympiad team
Minnesota Youth Symphony (played in both the 2nd and 3rd highest levels of 4 levels)
School's chamber orchestra (not a class, our conductor selects a few people to play with him)
National Honor Society
Volunteering
The U of Minnesota Math Program
JV Cross Country Running
JV Track and Field


Honors and Awards

Science Olympiad:
Three 1st place wins and two 2nd place wins in Invitational Competitions
1 Sliver medal at Regionals


Math Team:

27th in the State High School League
2nd Place in my division
MVP at my school

Math League: 2nd Place in state this yr, 5rd place last yr, MVP

Passed AMC every yr since 9th grade and has taken the AIME every year. Highest score on the AIME was a 9

I think you have a pretty good chance at getting into Cornell.

The other schools are just too objectice.
and California rarely accepts out of state students.

u have a solid GPA, and good test scores, and wonderful extracurriculars, don't worry!

check out some other schools too!

maybe other ivies or Uchicago, washington U in St. Louis, or others

lol I did take a lot out because no one was ever replying to my previous posts. I was assuming that my post was too long...cause when I look at other people's i answer the short ones...so naturally my little noggin thought if I eliminated less important things, it'll look shorter and still accurately reflect me. (except for the SO state win... i've done this b/f cause I didn't win...it got 4th...but I was wondering if anyone would comment on that previously and mention it as an important factor...but no one did)
