Chance an asian dude from the north O_O - VANDERBILT

I will be applying ED to Vanderbilt.

Asian (Chinese) male
Rigor: Taking 2 APs junior yr, (US HISTORY, BIOLOGY) 4 APs in senior year (ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE, PSYCHOLOGY, ENGLISH LITERATURE, US GOVERNMENT) = 6, but that equates to only two AP exams by admission time, Also taking a post-AP science class senior year, which is equivalent to a sophomore yr course in college.
GPA: 3.4, B+, 89.4 AVG.
Class Rank: School does not rank.
Stuyvesant High School in NY, ranked 15 nationally, which includes private and public schools

SAT: 1920 (660 reading/620 math/620 writing)
ACT: 32 (34 english/30 math/32 reading/32 science)

Extracurriculars: Intel/Westinghouse Science project on neurons at Columbia University Medical School.
3 years of research, 2 whole summers devoted = ~450 hours of research
Journalist of Schools Physical Science Journal
Guidance Counselor Office Volunteer (100+ hours over 3 yrs)
Pre-med Society Club member
Amnesty International Officer
Chess Club Officer
Attended Harvard Summer School, took a psych course, earned an A

Service: Worked at an HIV clinic, Breast Cancer Mobile

Work Experience: Worked part-time for a summer at a local daycare center

Your stats are mediocre (probably should retake or don't send SAT, it's way less than par), but you're from the North and Asian. I will give you $1,000 if you don't get in. Tell me you're Jewish and I bet the Admissions department will faint when they read your app.

Don't submit the SAT. Just use the ACT and you'll get into Vandy. Good luck!

^^ lol thanks. Can anyone else share their oponion? btw is being asian + coming from the north really that great of an advantage?

You'll be fine for Vandy. Only problem might be SATs, but very good ACTs make up for the fairly low range SAT Is (for Vandy). Is your project an Intel/Siemens winning project? If not, probably not necessary to mention submission. However, do attach it, and see if you can get a prof to review it (such as a CUNY professor, or something of the like). That could help.
