My chances

Based on my information below, what would you say are my chances at getting into some of the schools listed below? Please give me advice on how to increase my chances of getting into these schools!

STANDARDIZED TESTS

i took the SAT in June and got some disappointing scores:
M- 730
W- 680
CR- 680
Composite- 2090 (Should i take this again?)

ACT Composite- 30 (Should i take this again?)

SAT II's:
Math II : 750
Bio E: 730
US History: 670
Plan to take Chem, Lit and math 2 again in either oct or nov

SCHOOL

I attend a VERY small high school in California (only 10 years old with an application process) with about 70 students in my entire class and 7 faculty members for the whole school. Our school has NO sports and NO AP classes an my college classes are simply counted as CP classes, so forgive my pathetic GPA and lack of ECs.

GPA: 3.855 UW (No APs in my school)
Rank: 10/70
College Semester Units completed: 80.5
AA Degree in Humanities
AA Degree in Liberal Arts
AA Degree in Natural Sciences
Want to major in Biology and Economics

E.C.s

Junior Representative in Student Government
Founder/ President of the Sports and Activities Club (for 3 years)
Volunteer at the local library (125+ hours over 4 years)
Volunteer at Habitat for Humanity (70+ hours since January 2008)
Volunteer at Soup Kitchen
Volunteer at a Retirement Home
Volunteer at Neighbors in Health (free healthcare)
Key Club Sergeant at Arms (Member for 4 years)
Art Club
Academic Decathlon (4 medals in January and i hope to be a captain or starter next year)
Alpha Gamma Sigma (college academic honors Club)
Letter of Recs from two college professors (Bio and Spanish) and a counselor

COLLEGES INTERESTED IN:

Stanford
UCLA
UC Davis
UC Berkeley
Duke
John Hopkins
(Any ideas where i should also apply)

Please give me advice on how to give myself a better shot of getting into these schools! Thank you!

Hmmm I would say that you have a laundry list of EC's. You don't have the SAT scores for top twenty schools unfortunately. I would say that your GPA is pretty good, average for Ivies. You should send in the SAT or the ACT depending which you do better in after you retake it. You still have a while to improve them however. Wow do you go to a parochial school? That is a weird system, not your fault though. I would say this

Stanford: Very High Reach
John's Hopkins: High Reach
Duke: High Reach
UC's: All matches, I am iffy about Berkeley though.

I wouldn't necessarily say you have a laundry list of ECs. You have shown a good commitment to service and volunteering.

Bring your SAT to 2200 if you can. All three areas need improvement, but esp CR and W need to be 700+

How did you get 3 AA degrees?? and on 80 credits at that. I have 61 and need 3 more to get my first...lol

lol
i got my first AA for taking 60 units and completing the transfer courses to any UC. The other two were for spanish and the sciences. Once you get one AA, the latter ones are not hard to get.

I assume this was through outside college courses?? How many semesters did this take you - at my community college 15 credits/semester is considered full time. I don't even go to high school and I don't have mine yet! :P

At my school, to make up for the lack of challengng high school classes, students are allowed to take college classes at the local community college. We are given a limit of 11 units per semester. I have take 80.5 over 3 years ( i took a few classes in summer too).

Hmmm yeah now that i do look again, it doesn't look like a laundry list (sorry)
But I do think your ACT should be above 32, and your SAT should be above (something reasonable) 2150 for your personal best shot.
