Chances at these schools

Here is what I've done so far:

I'm in my summer before senior year.

PSAT: 224, so possible national merit finalist

SAT Is:
-Took once in freshman year and once in October sophomore year because I was an idiot (1900s and up, but improved each time)
-Junior year, first time was 2090 in January and second time in May, I got a 2180 (730 Math, 720 Reading, 730 Writing)

SAT IIs:
-I will be taking the SAT II Math 2 either in October or in November
-Biology E: 750
-World History: 770

AP classes so far (end of Junior year):
World History: 5
Calculus AB: 5
Calc BC: 5 (subscore also 5)
English 11/Language and Composition: 5
US History: 4 (*** happened?)

Would have taken more if school offered more.

GPA: 4.0 (All As, because Washington state doesn't do weighted AP classes)

Extracurriculars:
-martial arts for 10 years (really a mix of stuff from kick boxing to Kyokushin Karate) and have a 1st dan (black belt) in Tae Kwon Do at the dojang I've been going to for the last 6 years
-Solo Piano for 11 years, Adjudications, Washington State Concerto competitions, got a few awards, etc.
-Knowledge Bowl
-Academic Decathlon (been to nationals)
-Chinese/Mandarin School
-Ping Pong club (haha as if anyone gives a crap)
-volunteer at the hospital (looks really official and stuff, and I plan on doing at least 200 hours)

I've come up with a list of schools I think I will possibly be applying to in the fall and they are:
-University of Washington Honors
-MIT ?
-University of Southern California
-Johns Hopkins
-Yale
-University of Pennsylvannia
-Harvard
-University of Chicago ?
-Duke ?
-Stanford ?
-Cornell

I may want to go into medical school in the future.

Its going to hurt you drastically that you have taken SAT 4 times already. Sure, colleges will see the freshman score as kind of separate, however the soph, and 2 junior scores will definitely be looked at. Compared to a similar scorer (2100's) your application will look worse because it will look like you got an unfair advantage. I would suggest not retaking SAT for reasons above, and taking the last available ACT date.

Your EC's are really as competitive as they need to be for above schools but based on what you posted.

-University of Washington Honors- match
-MIT uber reach
-University of Southern California- match
-Johns Hopkins- match (multiple SATs could skew your chances though)
-Yale- uber reach
-University of Pennsylvannia- uber reach
-Harvard- uber reach
-University of Chicago - reach
-Duke ?
-Stanford ?
-Cornell

I meant to say your EC's ARE NOT as competitive as they should be

Good luck!

So basically I'm screwed because I took the SAT once in freshman year and once at the very beginning of sophomore year? I've heard a lot of people tell me that colleges won't look at those scores because those are so close together and not recent.....

You mean like student of the month stuff and whatever? I've got some of those. And isn't Academic Decathlon an academic EC?? Wow this sucks. So, my black belt and piano experience and awards don't count for anything... great.

azngod would you recommend that I not apply to most of those schools then? Or should I give them a try just for the heck of it?

Does reach mean that I have a chance or does that mean that it is unlikely that I will be accepted?

I don't think the fact that you've taken the SAT 4 times already will hurt you. I think, though, you have a pretty decent shot anywhere given your good GPA/SAT combo.

What do you mean "legit safety." UW is my safety school. If I don't get into UW, then their admissions is a joke.
