| Chance a native american I know I just did a chance thread a few weeks ago, and sorry to do it once again, however, after lots of thought I have decided to aim my college goals higher (hey, what can it hurt?) so i thought I would change the schools and update a little info. Thanks again.
GPA: Cumulative about 4.3 weighted, 3.7 unweighted
*worst part, I know.
Classes: Taken 2 AP classes so far. Plan to take 10 by the time I have graduated
School: Pretty good MAGNET school in Oklahoma
Ethnicity: Native American. Yes a real native american...
Scores: Hope to get ACT to at least a 32. Also hoping to get national merit, however, I am unsure about the national merit thing.
Ranking: About 20 in a class of 410
I am a solid writer, so I plan on writing a very good essay.
Extra Circulars- (I think I shine in leadership?, tennis)
Student Council: Very involved with leadership at school, regional, state, and national level. Student Council officer (Secretary 11th , Prez 12th grade) , state student council president, attended national student council convention(11th, 12th)- it is difficult to become a delegate to go to this. I will have my student council advisor right a recommendation and this will be very good.
Tennis: 3 Year Varsity captain (thus far), will be a 4 year. 3 year MVP (Thus far), should be 4 year. State, regional, and national level play.. Play at a competitive academy and hit with the varsity tennis team at a local DI university. National Ranked, State Ranked...
Some volunteer stuff- Nothing amazing, but some things with hospice and cystic fibrosis.
I hope my tennis and student council accomplishments stand out..
Schools:
UC Berkeley (Haas)
Stanford
NYU (Stern)- Tennis Recruit, although it doesn't help much at NYU
Dartmouth- (had a friend get in with a 3.5 and a 30 act last year, so that helps a little)
Harvard, Princeton (Ha.. only a dream huh)
Columbia (Dream school!!!!!)
Williams, Amherst-Tennis Recruit (Once again, probably doesn't help much)
MIT- (haha..yeah. MIT)- Tennis Recruit, may not help.
Safeties- Tulsa and a few more!
Thanks again all. |
