| >>>Chance me please<<< I am considering applying to Brown PLME, NYU, Columbia, Rutgers and i want to know my chances please.
SAT: 2010 (660 CR, 660 M, 690 W) (that was the first attempt, i'm retaking)
SAT II: I took 3, but since my schools require only 2, my top 2 are 790 USH and 650 Chem
Rank: 1/two hundred something
GPA: 102/100 (weighted)
I also played soccer for 2 years
track and field 3 years
I have been a member of a community help organization in my school for 4 years (I may get a leadership position this year)
NHS member
Italian Honor Society Member
Volunteering at Mount Sinai this summer
I took the hardest courseload my school has to offer, all AP and Honors. So far I've taken 2 AP's
(US History 5, Chemistry 3), and I'm taking 4 more next year.
I have teachers who can write excellent recommendations for me.
I am also a Rensselaer Medalist
Ethnicity: Arab-American (I plan to write about my immigration experience in my essay), also, Arabs are classified as White
What do you think? |

| As far as Brown, NYU and Columbia go, I think you have a pretty good shot. The only thing I would say is bring your SAT scores up. But other than that, your GPA is obviously excellent, and your essay sounds like it will be revealing and interesting. ECs are good, maybe a little bland, but good. Good luck! Let us know how it works out! |

| Brown PLME has a ridiculous acceptance rate my, probably harder to get in than HYP. I would take thisisfurious's "pretty good shoot" with a grain of salt, since Brown PLME is definitely a high reach for everyone.
Furthermore, your low SAT score (for Brown at least), compounded with your mediocre SAT II scores could set you back a bit. |

| i know the PLME is highly selective, 70/1950 i think were admitted last year....I know it's a reach...but i'm still applying
Only 1 SAT II is mediocre, the other is fine.
I'm retaking the SAT so that shouldn't be a problem.....The thing is, so many other applicants with applications similar to or better than mine are applying....so idk |
