Please Chance Me...I know its long but I would love an opinion :)

I'm an upcoming high school junior and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of what school would be good for me. I'm looking for something liberal arts with small classes and very personal. I live in Louisiana and want to go somewhere not very far from home but still far enough. As in the general area of the south (Tennessee/South Carolina is perfect, Virginia is pushing it)

Here are my classes:

4 English
5 Math
4 Science
5-6 History
6 Fine Arts
2 Spanish
1-2 Latin
Creative Writing
Keystone (7 Habits)

I plan on having between a 3.5 and 4.0 GPA by the time I graduate (3.9 right now). Most of my classes are either honors or Gifted level.

My SAT Scores are:
Critical Reading: 650 (hopefully higher (700ish) by senior year)
Math:500 (again hopefully higher later)
Writing: 670 (yet again not quite there yet)
Act: 28 (hopefully 31-33)

I am involved in many different activities and do a lot of volunteer work.
School Choir (4 years)
Officer in Choir (4 years)
Young Women in Harmony Quartet
Several Musicals
Big Brother Big Sister
Science Club
Young at Heart
Principal's Student Advisory Board
Tennis Team (4 years)

I'm going to need a lot of scholarships or financial aid as well because of my family's income.

Please let me know if there are any colleges you think would be good for me. Right now I'm looking at Sewanee as my first choice then Rhodes or Furman, and an Ivy League (such as Yale) as my reach. Thanks ahead of time!

You really need to get that Math score up approx. 150 points. If you can't do that, but can manage 30+ on the ACT, just send in your ACT scores.

I'm horrible at math, but my friend's aunt is a tutor for standardized testing in math, so I'm hoping she will help me a lot. I've also been studying and working on it on my own. Believe me, it bums me out to see the horrid-ness of that math score.

With a 500, there really is a ton of room for improvement. You should be able to increase your score a lot with private tutoring. Plus, its more study-able than CR is (IMO).

I agree with the others, the test scores def. have to rise if you want a shot. I think your act is almost there, but if you're shooting for Ivy, I think you need around 33 or 2200 SAT. However, if you can write well, you can probably offset your scores a bit. Good luck!
