Chances?

Asian Male (hate how that counts against you...), rising Senior
Pretty Good high School; top 300 in Newsweek's high school thing

SAT: 2340 V:800 M:800 W:800 (essay really screwed me over)
GPA: 4.0
Rank: 1 of 500+

Got into preliminary round of National Merit, don't know about semifinals yet

APs:

Calc AB 5
Chemistry 5

haven't gotten scores, but very confident that they're 5s

Calc BC
Eng Lang
AP US History

SAT IIs:

Bio M: 760
Chinese: 760
Math II: 800
Chemistry: 800
US History: 800

This coming fall, I'm taking Differential Equations with Applications at Johns Hopkins after school.

ECs so far:

Badminton team for 3 years
HOSA for 3 years, president this senior year
FBLA 2 years
NHS 2 years
Key Club 1 year
Jazz Band 3 years
Marching Band 1 year
All County since 7th grade, All State 8th/9th grade
VP of Student Gov Organization
Ranked top 15 in the State Math League

Summers:

(summer after) Freshman Year:Camp Counselor

Sophmore Summer: Volunteered at John Hopkins School of Medicine Division of Nephrology. Did basic cell culture stuff and extracted DNA from mice and then purified it.

This summer: National Institute of Health Intern. Working in NIA LCI. I am creating fusion proteins and then preparing them to be injected into rats for in vivo studies of calcium channels in VSMCs.

uh.. 800+800+800=2400..
if the essay screwed you over, then you don't have an 800 in writing...

cornell and hopkins are never safeties though. make sure theres something that you will DEFINITELY get into, cuz you never know with the ivies and MIT.

but you've obviously got a fantastic chance with what is practically (or is) a perfect SAT score. there's not really reason to ask. it's hard to judge extracurriculars.
