| I'm not so sure that the SAT will make up for your freshman year as much as you did with your ability to challenge yourself and succeed. That will say plenty to schools like UVA.
And yes, location does make a difference -- sorry to say. A principal friend of mine, who is a UVA grad, says that UVA could fill its entire freshman class with kids from Fairfax but cannot and does not because there are other parts of VA to consider. (I add that I am not in Fairfax but another part of VA) If you lived in rural VA, your chances with those scores and being an URM would greatly increase.
Still, if you do raise your SAT, you will see your chances go up regardless of where you live. |
