  • Spanish Club (9) yeah...no. It really didn't do anything

Awards or Other
  • 3rd Team Project Regional Science Fair (we definitely should have gone to state... Robotic Simulation involving physics and OpenGL), continuation this year, adding a code parser, more detailed graphics and physics, better input methods, increasing efficiency

  • Guessing... National AP scholar
  • Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, took classes as a student. 8th grade, C Programming. 10th Grade - Calc 1 (trying to get into calc 2 for junior year, but no luck). Received As in both courses.
  • Application to RSI this year. (CEE: Research Science Institute Introduction). Hopefully, my passion, along with scores and extracurriculars (REALLY good recs) will help me get in... but it's a long shot. Counting on AMC12 going well this year...

Wait... You're GOING to be a junior? Therefore, you don't know your grades for sure. If that's what your grades will be then you have a shot at all of those, but to be honest, come back after you know your real junior grades and you'll have better chances.

alright, thanks. I really don't expect to lose my 4.0UW. After surviving 9 classes last year, I think that this might actually be less stressful :P

^ I'm rooting for you, really. But you never know because there may be things that are beyond your control. Good luck either way .

those stats are great for a mere junior, kudos to you . Keep up the good work, stay competitive, and your chances will definitely be good.

Your stats are sick. Here are my predictions if you keep your grades up:

1. MIT (EA)! - crapshoot
2. Cambridge University, King's College (as in UK) - match (UK universities are a lot more predictable)
3. Stanford University - crapshoot
4. CalTech - match
5. Carnegie Mellon - low match
6. Rice University - match
7. Cornell Eng - match
8. Princeton University - crapshoot
9. UPenn - low reach
10. Purdue University (double legacy... and grandparents and junk) - safety
11. RPI - safety
12. Johns Hopkins - match
13. Harvard University - crapshoot

You should consider EA Caltech with MIT then? I would have if I applied Caltech.

thanks all.

@Lollerpants: I honestly haven't looked as much into the other EA stuffs, but if CalTech offers it, I think that your advice is probably quite smart. muchas gracias

EDIT: Just checked out CalTech - EA looks good.

Omg, your stats and everything are AMAZING! In at Purdue, RPI, and probably JHU (<3)... CMU, Cornell, and Rice are very likely... the rest are crapshoots but I wouldn't be surprised if you got into many of them.

Early Action is a great choice for MIT. I doubt you'll be rejected -- I think you're an outstanding enough candidate that you could practically count on acceptance or deferral (limbo...), which would give you a "second chance."

HPS and Penn are impossible to predict, but you've got as good a shot as anyone.

Cambridge is very score-oriented, so I think you'll get in.

I'm very impressed with your ECs -- you've got a good variety of activities but it's clearly not a laundry list, as you have positions and have done stuff with your activities. Best of luck next year! I think your main problem will be choosing where to go in March. ;]

Oh, and report the World score! It's not bad, and it shows that you're human. :]

i can't believe youre becoming a junior and you already have your SATs done. see part of the reason why people are so stressed about junior year is more schoolwork+SATs (lots of ppl take SAT classes during the year so they don't lose momentum till october). but well...for u its just schoolwork...which uve been owning...so...i dont even know why im chancing u -.-;;

1. MIT (EA)!-low reach
2. Cambridge University, King's College (as in UK)-dunno
3. Stanford University-crapshoot
4. CalTech-low reach

- (not in any really particular order past here)
5. Carnegie Mellon-match/high match
6. Rice University-match
7. Cornell Eng-low reach
8. Princeton University-crapshoot
9. UPenn-low reach
10. Purdue University (double legacy... and grandparents and junk)-in
11. RPI-noclue
12. Johns Hopkins-match/low reach
13. Harvard University-crapshoot
