Esopteradactyl. My Science Skillz Will Trash You. jk. I enjoy literature more. jk

Hey guys! All help would be much appreciated.

Here is what I am like: Asian. Science focused. I enjoy literature more.

Asian Male from Minnesota
Competetive Public
GPA: W: 3.61 UW: 3.67-3.7, upward trend when I began taking AP courses.

SAT: (730 CR/700 M/ 690 W) 2120
ACT: 31 (33/31/31/30) (6 essay. I think I angered them)
SAT II: 710 Biology, 700 Literature
APs:
5 Literature
4 Composition
3 Biology (long story, power went out in middle, riot ensued in hallway.)

Essays: most likely average to very good
Recs: Good to very good

Extracurriculars:

Swimming, year round, 2 hours a day 6 days a week
Varsity Swimming, section qualifier 3 years in the 100 breast stroke
2 years in the 50 free

Research:
Massive hours in the lab, cell culture and a lot of mouse surgeries, competetive repopulation, etc.
co-authored paper on ATP hydrolysis potential
Prestigious summer science program, comparable to RSI, SSP. began a new extremely significant project on whether the heart is regenerated through cardiac progenitor cells or hematopoetic stem cells.

If all goes well, Intel and Siemens applicant

Volunteering:
Helped underpriveliged kids with homework, 100 hours (I really liked doing this)
Hospital, 200+ hours
Random YMCA, local community, 100 + hours

Your ECs are awesome, especially if you're recruitable for swimming (if not, that plus your science involvement is stellar). While your SATs and GPA are a little low (by CC standards, of course), I think a personable essay combined with your ECs could combat that.

If you're interested in LACs, you may want to look into Davidson college. They have good merit scholarships, a strong science program, and love the well-rounded applicant. I would consider that a match for you.
