I play varsity basketball and lacrosse which take up a significant amount of time. I am the National Honor Society Secretary, and I received the state's community service award for 260+ hours. I am also in the Spanish Honor Society and the Science Honor Society. My schedule has been pretty rigorous, I will have taken 6 AP's by the end of senior year and almost every other class is an honors credit. I play tuba and am in the process of talking to music directors at Cornell and UVA about playing in their orchestra or wind ensembles, which could help me get in. Regardless, I will send in a recording to each school as a "talent/ ability" to be judged. I am looking to major in business, and will apply to the business school as a freshman at any of the schools that allow you to do so.

I think Beejay analysis is accurate, your Grades + ACT is solid, but your SAT IIs suck. Retake them get 750+ especially on Math IIC then the schools start to become more attainable. One other thing the OOS residency is gonna hurt for UVA, Michigan, Cornell so if you get rejected just remeber its crazy for OOS applicants.

Thanks guys, and simpleperson i got the impression that most schools only consider the sat II for placement once you are in. Either way I plan on only sending them out to UVA because they are strongly recommended.

i'd say go with beejay's estimates, just to be safe. not that pharmakesus's aren't accurate.

SATIIs are usually for placement, but at more competitive colleges, they're definitely for admission. if they're required, they're probably used for admission. and they're usually looking for 700+ on average. (yeah, i think they're so much harder than the SATI, everyone else thinks it's the other way around, haha. i had trouble with them too. good luck!) often they're not required if you take the ACT though, so check out the schools' admission requirements

Talking to the UVA director is good, because since you're out of state you have almost no chance of getting in.
