My final chances thread before I hit submit?! PLEASE READ =D

Alright, supposed to be using today to finish up those apps. But I'm basically done. I've done everything I can and now it's in the hands of fate. What I am typing right now, really won't change by the time I send my application. Scary ... Best of luck to everyone else and thanks for reading! =D

School Awards: Future Geographer, Outstanding Musicianship, and NYSTEA Theater Award

~~~~~Colleges~~~~~
Darmouth ED (really really really want to go. Well, who doesn't feel that way about a first choice...)
U. Chicago EA
Harvard(?)- crapshoot. I would love to go. My best friend is there now. Who knows?
Brown
Amherst
Bowdoin
Johns Hopkins
Hamilton
Wesleyan
U. Mich
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Recs-
History Teacher (gave me the future geographer award. Has already written me other recs)
Latin Teacher (I'm the top of the latin class, but I'm not sure how convincing a writer he is...)
Peer Rec- That best friend at Harvard mentioned before. He's there for English too

Other factors with Dartmouth- My grandfather is an alumnus. They told me second generation doesn't matter, but who knows...He will try and get in contact. I'm meeting with a Dartmouth Alum who is a friend of a friend. He is now a conductor, and I'm going to see if he would be willing to write to the music department

Worries? About two other people from my school are applying ED to Dartmouth. They have better grades, but my scores and ECs are better...It's a really competitive area (suburbs of NYC). Also, we've had every other Ivy in the last four years....but not Dartmouth. Someone applied ED last year and was deferred.

Congratulations on your achievements! Darmouth is an amazing school; as far as admissions goes, you have just as much of a chance as everyone else. Best of luck!!

Your stats are in the upper half of the class... so it depends now on whether the adcom likes the picture the application paints of you -- letters of rec + essay.
