Of course I'm in a highly competitive high school so this is mitigated somewhat.

I'm trying (hoping) to get into a really great school like say Caltech or perhaps MIT.

You are definitely NOT delusional, they seem like decent high matches for you... i would say its down to your SAT 2s, your recs and essay... if they like you, they like you!

i'd say you'd have a pretty good shot/slight reach at caltech as long as your sat 2's and recs turn out pretty well.
