U of Washington

I will keep this short and concise. I would like you guys to chance me on U of Washington, and UC Davis? I'm not a very impressive student compared to some of the students I've seen on here, but after my (bad) freshmen year I have a huge upward grade trend.

GPA: 3.26 unweighted/3.84 weighted. Using the UC grading scale, my GPA is a 3.6 if I remember correctly.
SAT: 1810 (670CR, 550M, 590W)
Class rank: 24/300
Courses: 4 AP's this year, 3 last year. A's in them all.

I will probably do well on the college application essays, it is my strong point.

Extra Curricular Activities:
- NHS with 20 hours of com. service this year, 1 year (NHS is new to my school this year)
- High School JROTC Finance officer, former commander, 4 years.
- Varsity Quiz team captain, 2 years.
- Tennis Team, 2 years.
- Bowling Team, 1 year (this year).

What do you guys think? Thanks for your input!

What are my chances at a good college?

please match me as well

I'd give you a decent chance at U Of Washington, you have a bout .4 less GPA than the average student there and your Math Sat is a bit low.

What awards have you received?

UC Davis would also be hard but I think a closer match than U Of Washington.

Thanks a lot for your input fromthesouth. I would chance you at your choices, but it seems to me that you possess more knowledge regarding colleges than I

And yeah, my math SAT is a bit low. I'm actually happy to have gotten a 550, math is definitely not my strong suit. I've only taken it once, never really studied for it like some people.

Yeah I haven't studied for the ACT either and I have a 26 in Math so I know how you feel about the low scores :P

Do you think that the U of Washington will look past my low math score? My math score would be in the bottom 25% of their accepted students, but my CR score is in the top 25%.

As long as you don't plan to major in a Math heavy subject it is possible. Try to get an interview and explain the scores.
