Give me some insight - USC, Northwestern, Notre Dame

I'm now waiting for these last three schools. My senior rank dropped from 2 to 4, but my GPA went up...I don't know how much of an effect it'll have. I was also rejected from Ross PA at Michigan today.

-Female
-Asian
-From Nevada

GPA: 3.85 UW/4.97 W
Rank: 4/345
ACT: 30 Composite
SAT II: USH - 630/ EBio - 600, not that great. Didn't send in but shows on my transcript.

Total of 8 AP classes and 11 honors including senior year

AP Bio and Chem: 1
AP Calc: 3
AP USH: 3
AP Eng Lang: 5

ECs:

- 3 yrs of basketball JV and 1 yr frosh
- FBLA State Conference 1 yr
- ~200 hrs volunteer
- Founder and president of basketball club 2 yrs
- NHS 1 yr and Officer this year
- Business Externship at a bank first semester and second semester will be an engineering externship since I'm debating between which area to study
- Marching band/drumline 1 yr
- Freshmen Mentor

i think you are doing okay...again maybe one...did you submit all your AP scores? They may not like the lower scores. If you have a great essay and good recommendations, you will probably get in to notre dame or maybe another. sorry about Ross PA

You're stats are okay, but not exceptional for any of these schools. If you had good essays and recs, then you have a shot.

with the exception of basketball, i dont see any commitment to any ECs. that's what top colleges look for.

you should have sent those SAT II's in. they wouldnt have hurt your profile....better than no SAT IIs.

reach for all.

Reach for all. NU is extremely difficult to get into nowadays. You have a shot, but you need to write excellent essays and have good recs.
