Essay: I have a speech impediment (called stuttering) which I've battled throughout my whole life. I plan on talking about how I "found my voice" and became a liberal living in a conservative community where I felt comfortable voicing my opinion. Stuttering has shaped who I am as an individual and I would like to showcase how this makes me different from everyone else applying to these top schools.

pretty good grades and scores and such..not exceptional, no offense, but top few schools on your list might be iffy about them.
extracurriculars are solid but maybe a little common sounding (except optometry work..thats good and unique)
essay sounds like it could definitely be good but you have to be careful with how you write it. you dont want to sound like youre being overdramatic.
id say:
brown--reach
cornell--lower reach
washU--high match/low reach
JHU/Umich/NYU--most likely in
Tulane--in
Columbia--I dunno how much legacy matters there so too hard to say.
