Syracuse University--hard to get into

Is Syracuse hard to get into for international relations?
-I'm currently a junior
-I have an unweighted 92 average (I took all dual credit, AP and Honors courses).
-660 math, 580 CR, 560 W (yeah, my SATs are low)
-27 ACT (another low score)
-Class President for two years
-National Honor Society
-Habitat for Humanity
-International Club
-FBLA
-Interact Club
-Student Council (10th grade)
-Secretary of Science Olympiad
-Worked for Kitchen Cupboard
-Sustainability Club (one of the founding members)
-Board of education student representative
-Rotary Youth Leadership Award
-Multiple student athlete of the week awards
-IAC student Athlete leadership conference (2 kids chosen in my school)
-Already played two years of varsity Basketball and Volleyball (Division/IAC champions and All-Star section player)
-High Honor Roll
Do I have a chance if I apply early decision?

Yes pick up your CR and W scores. Your math scores aren't too bad but can be better also. Your Extra-curriculars looks great.

Don't my sats fall into syracuse's range? Do I really have to raise them?

Your test scores are within range for recent entering freshmen classes.

CR 520-620
M 550-650
W 530-630

From College Board SAT mid-50 range data.

Telling someone to raise SAT scores isnt always possible, that is heartless advice.

Are your parents prepared for you not to get a lot of finaid?

I'd say your chances are good. My daughter her lower SATs and a slightly lower average and got in (visual arts, 2 yrs ago). My son had slightly higher SATs and also a lower average and he got in (arts & Sciences, this yr).

Definitely interview. I think that also helps.

I think you have very good chances. I know of a couple of kids with lower numbers who were both accepted. Best of luck!

I think you are a likely admit right now. That said, if financial aid is a concern you should probably plan on taking the SATs again with the goal of raising your CR and W scores into the mid-600 range. I would also suggest doing everything you can between now and the end of the year to raise your GPA another point or two. In many NYS schools a 93 is an A average, while a 92 is in A- range. A fine point, but when financial aid counts so does every point.
