UC Admissions?

I'm going to be a senior this fall, and I want to apply to the following UC's:
Davis
Irvine
San Diego
Santa Barbra
Santa Cruz

Female/Asian/California resident

my average GPA is 3.85

Sophomore year advanced classes: honors chem, honors english
Junior year advanced classes: AP Language&composition, AP US, Honors Spanish 4
Senior year advanced classes: AP Literature, AP Stats

highest SAT score is 1770
aiming for ACT score 28/29 (retaking the ACT in September)
subject tests: Math II (590) U.S. History (620) I'm planning on retaking the Math II exam in the fall.

ec's are a couple clubs, 3 years varsity tennis, open heart kitchen volunteer, youth court juror, 4 years leadership (student gov.) and member of youth city council (YAC). I also had a job my entire junior year.

Do I have any hope? Any advice for improvment, or advice from anyone who was accepted to any of these colleges?

Are you retarded? No **** you'll get into all those schools (maybe not Irvine....). Especially if you're a CA resident...
Though your SAT scores.....
Your parents must not be real Asians.

It's not even that stupid of a question... Go look at the UC average scores for admits right here.

http://www.universityofcalifornia.ed...erials/ITU.pdf

These aren't 100% accurate, since a lot of the lower tier UCs still receive applications from students far above them and therefore inflate the stats, but it can still give you some kind of idea.

Is that GPA unweighted or weighted? You should try to get your SAT to atleast 1900.

Weighted or unweighted GPA? Try and get all those test scores up a bit if possible.

Santa Cruz is a match and the others are reaches. Since they will all be taking fewer kids this year, I suggest adding Riverside and Merced.

I agree with some of the other posters. I think it depends on whether the GPA you provided us with is weighted or unweighted. I would also try to increase your SAT score or ACT score as much as possible. If you are able to do that, I would say that you would have a decent chance at getting into some of those. However, at this point in time, I would say all are low reaches with the exception of Santa Cruz and Irvine. Try to get at least a 30 or 31 on the ACT and I think your chances will increase. Best of luck!

the 3.8 GPA is unweighted
weighted/UC is a 3.9 or 4.0 (depending on whether my school's honors spanish class counts for an extra point or not)
I've been studying for the ACT this summer and am aiming for a 30, and hopefully I can get that based on my practice tests.

I feel like I have a lot of volunteer work and legit EC's and i've also had a job.

If I can't imporve my SAT score, but get around a 30 on the ACT, would that help my chances?

Thanks!

That's unweighted. Weighted is either a 3.9/4.0 (depending on my honors spanish class)
