you're gpa is amazing. i think if you do well on the tests you're going to be taking you have a really good shot at a lot of the schools on your list. uchicago is world renown for its economics programs, and ur speech/econ awards might just be what they use to decide yes or no. with some good essays, id say aside from yale, you definitely have a great chance at the other schools

I can't speak for the rest of the schools, but Georgetown would be a high reach for you.

There were countless people at my school that applied (and were in-state) and got rejected. They had very good stats too. Your SAT is a bit higher than the bunch that applied. Are you in-state or out of state?

Steller GPA and rank, ECs a little lacking, but as long as you get your scores up you should be golden.

This is based on your current SATs:

U. Chicago-reach
Yale-obviously reach for everyone
Cornell-reach
Georgetown-low reach
NYU-definitely match

Good luck on your ACTs/SATs! =D

The fact that you don't have any AP classes will hurt, because Colleges want to see that you can handle college level coursework. Your competition at these schools will have taken AP classes, so just keep that in mind.

U. Chicago - reach unless you can raise your SAT
Yale - high reach
Cornell - reach
Georgetown - high match
Hamilton - idk
Northwestern - high match
NYU - match/high match
Washington College - idk
Iona College - idk

Raise your SAT and these chances will change, not dramatically, but they will change.
