whats the chances of me being able to get into Ivy league schools if my academic performance keeps up well...or schools in florida? any advice would be appreciated

1960 is too low for Ivies, but you're good for U of Miami or U of Florida.. Then again, there is a whole world outside Florida and the Ivy League so I don't know why you'd want to limit yourself so much.

Depending on what your family can afford and many other factors, you should be able to choose between many fine colleges. The 8 ivy league schools will want higher SATs, but there are many schools that might meet your needs better anyway.

thanks..and the only reason im "limiting" myself to florida is cuz of the Bright futures scholarship....i dont get that if i go outside of florida...how high do Ivy leagues want their SATs?

block scheduling..and some classes...like micro and macro are put into 9 week courses each..and some of the classes are skinnied..so theyre put into the same block with alternating days that i go to them..lol...my schools good at giving opportunity to take as many APs as possible.. and thats also the type of schedule with the highest amount of APs offered...all the exams offered at the school except for AP art is there...and i wont take ap art cuz...well frankly...id just master the art of stick figure drawing..lol...im not too good at art xD

As others have mentioned, you have good overall academics, but you need to raise your SAT scores. If you can raise them, you have a chance (as good of a chance as everyone else). Ivies are strange in that there is little accuracy when you try to predict if you will get in. Unfortunately, it is easy to tell when people have a good chance at a school like Yale, and your application does not fit into this category. Don't give up your goal though! My best advice would be to do something outstanding, something like raising a ton of money for blah blah blah and actually making a difference in your community. Good luck!

You're definatley in anywhere in Florida and to all the Honors Colleges barring UFs (and you still have a good shot even there). I think even for the low Ivies you're set as a strong applicant (Low Reach type territory). When you start getting into top top schools though the standardized test scores could be a demon. Also, the ECs are very good but not absolutley mesmerizing when you get to such a level.

I'd say you are on a great track if the scores improve a bit (which, considering you can take them up until November of next year, they should) but I'd recommend when it comes to essay writing that you focus on some passion of yours that isn't directly evident in the rest of your application. This does not factor in the 40% of hooked candidates.

Unless you are a recruited athlete, legacy, URM or development candidate, median GPA would be about 2200 at 'lower' ivies, at 2300 and the big 3.

Many will say you need 75th percentile scores to have a good shot unless you have a tip factor (underrepresented state, low income, inner city, first gen), which would mean about 770 per section at the 'lower' ivies and 790 at the holy trinity.

your GPA and course load is great
it will balance out your SAT score for state public schools, but its too low for extremely competitive schools
