I'm Stressing Here...

Indian Guy, stressing, want UCLA, USC, UCSD, and for fun, Stanford. First lets see if I can get in with my stats, then lets see if I'm eligible for any sort of merit scholarship.

SAT I:1920, 710M,600V,610W (retake october 8th, probably going to get between 2000-2100.)

SAT II's:
Math 2C:750
Chemistry:710

RANK: 3/500
weighted GPA:4.67
unweighted:like a 3.8 or something
(I got a B once in 11th grade in English, it makes me cringe when I look at my transcript.)

EC's:
100 hours volunteer work at hospital
200 hours volunteer work at temple in Sydney, Australia
Europe Trip Club to France, London, and Madrid
Tennis Team, 4 years (team captain for 2 years)
ASB Ambassador for 3 years
CSF and NHS for 3 years, Parliamentarian for 1 year for both
Key Club for 2 years
JSA for 2 years
Assisted in the creation of an AP Econ class(I don't really know about this EC, because technically all I really did was nag every administrator in my school to death until they finally agreed to do it, but I thought I might just throw it in there)
1 year of FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America)
1 year of HOSA
2 years of Spanish Honors Society, 1 year as Secretary
1 year of INTERACT as Secretary
National Merit Commendation (again, not sure, just throwing things in, tell me if i should use them or not)

how do you get a 750 on math 2c and a 710 on math sat 1? hmmm. Anyway, UCLA and UCB are match/slight reaches for oos, but matches of instate. USC medical program is a match and stanford is a reach for pretty much anyone. Cut the crap, 1 B isnt going to hurt you

i only missed like 3 or 4 on the math SAT I, the curve was just really hard. Any more opinions or comments on my chances? I would appreciate it.

are you instate? assuming you are, UCLA and UCB are slight reaches. the SAT needs to go up for them. that being said, you still have decent shot.

if you're out of state forget those UCs, people here make it seem like its not that hard to get into UCLA and UCB out of state. it is.

USC - slight reach, match if you get the SAT up.

hmmmm, for some reason I feel like everyone is making it seem harder to get into UCLA and USC than it really is, but that's just how I feel, not what I know. Are you guys just giving me what you think are my chances, or are you comparing me to how others have gotten in to these colleges in teh past and people who got rejected? I honestly didn't know it was that hard, I thought I was doing the right amount to get in, but hey, whatever, I guess it's better safe than sorry.

I think your chances for USC are decent. Get your SAT 2 over 2000 at least. In regards to the Bac/MD program, that is insanely hard to get into. You better have at least a 2250 if u want in that program. I only know two people in that program. One had a perfect 1600 and the other a 1560.

If you're in state, I think the UC's are matches. Your GPA makes up for your SAT, so you're fine

If by some crazy chance I was given a chance to get an interview for the straight med program, that would be so cool, because I don't want it to be soley based on my stats. While my numbers are important, I feel that i'm strong enough, but when it comes to people, i think i can really kill the interview. I have a way with people, if I can say so without sounding big-headed. I would love to have that opportunity. As for my SAT's, i'll most likely get above 2000, I guess I severly underestimated how hard it really is to get into a UC, i thought I could have been up for a scholarship with my stats. Maybe i'm just an overly-cocky person. I liked life when I was ignorant to the truth and had no worries about being rejected for not being good enough, I think I might go back to that and hope for the best. No, wait, it's too late, I'll try to do something about it I guess. Thanx for the advice, anymore help would be awesome, I check my post like twice a day anyway.

I don't think any of the colleges you're applying to offer interviews
