Decisions made?

has Williams already made their decisions? or are they still making some final decisions? seriously, if they're done, why can't they just SEND the decisions out ASAP??!!

God, I'm so nervous for my frd, cos' she hasn't got great financial aid packages from Smith, Wellesley & Mt. Holyoke, so she can't attend any of those... i just wish she could get into Williams and get a great one from Williams since their Admissions claim to need-blind....

but if she doesn't get into Williams, i doubt she'll be able to get into any of the HYP...

Lots of people who get admitted to Smith, Wellesley, and Mount Holyoke get admitted to HPY. Just because they don't attend does not make them lesser people at all.

Didn't your friend apply to any schools in her home country??

I suspect the Williams admissions office is still scrambling to make last minute decisions.

swiss_mj: don't get all defensive! i'm just talking about realistic chances.... I myself am currently attending Wellesley proudly, but got rejected by HYP and waitlisted at Williams last year. and of course i agree that ppl attending women's colleges are no lesser people! who am i kidding?!

ammarsfound: yes i am feeling extremely worried for my frd, cos' she's my best friend (more like a sister really), plus she's a truly amazing student....it's just a pity that Smith, MHC and Wellesley aren't need-blind to internationals like HYP and Williams are... that's why i'm feeling so anxious....

MikeyD223: yes, she's applied to schools in China as well, but somebody like her should seriously deserve to get into a top school in the US cos' I've seen ppl who had weaker stats and ECs than her who got into top US schools with full ride...

*fingers crossed*

Curious Kid: Good to know. I guess I really was getting fed up with people calling some colleges "lesser" institutions. Didn't mean to attack you!
