Lookin' pretty good to me.

I like how you have the most rigorous schedule possible, yet excel at athletics. That's going to be a huge plus. I'd say that you might be recruited for sports first, but even without that, you are a very strong candidate.

I agree with limetime, looks like you have a good shot to me.
The athletics look impressive, especially coupled with your academic achievements.
However, there are quite a few applicants that excel in both areas, so it would be great if you had something else unique about you, to clinch the deal. But you're looking great, Williams likes athletes.

Thanks guys... I have yet to visit Williams but I've heard only good things about the campus and the teachers. As for the student body stereotypes, my gut instinct is that they're overplayed; there will be nice people wherever I go and with such a small college it will be that much easier to find them.

I took the SATs for the second time and scored an 800 on math and writing, which brings my combined score to a 2330. Hope this improves my chances...

your stats look pretty good, but how good are you at running, like what are your times like? b/c if i went to any other school for track id look like a stud, but at my school im barely above average w/ a 10:30 2-mile, 17:45 5k (we win state championships pretty frequently)

1. Your EC's could be stronger.

2. What makes you think that Duke, Amherst, and Williams are not reaches while Brown is? That's a bit odd...

axc-- I never get how the track times add up to XC ( I have a 10:40 and 16:55 pr).

youll need a 16 5k and sub 10 2 mile for the coach to help you get in. I know Williams has a pretty good DIII team, I was drawn away because I wanted to run DI. My times (jr year) thus far are 15:25 5k (xc), 15:04 5k (track) 9:18 3200, 4:17 1600, 1:55 800, and my 4xmile relay was 5th at Nike Indoor Nationals. The dIII coaches can only help about 3 kids get in though so youve got to be pretty good.

Have you contacted the coaches?

If you are going to get any boost in admissions from the athletics, you'd do well to consider applying early.

I was out for most of the XC season with IT band syndrome, and I didn't run the 2-mile during track season only because I was more needed in the 800m, which isn't my strongest event. I was able to run a 4:37 mile. Next year (senior) I will likely move into the mid-16s in xc and run sub 10min in the 2 mile. I realize these aren't amazing numbers, and regardless of whether it helps me get into the school I would still like to participate in college. And yes, ED is something I've considered but until I visit this school I can't make that call. Thanks for all your comments!
