Williams Early Decision 2010!!!

For people who applied/are applying Early Decision, it doesn't matter if you haven't heard the news yet. I just wanted to know what they like in Williams and other schools they are looking at. Please don't put up GPAs, SATs, etc. I'm sure we all got 2000+ whatever on the SAT and have at least an 'A' average in school.

For me, it was the first school I visited that I could really see myself at, and all the other schools I visited after Williams was always a comparison to Williams. Other than that, great size, I've visited 3 times from roughly 500 miles away, and there were always new things to see, do, etc. I also have a love of learning and passion for athletics, something that reflects life at Williams. And the Paresky Center had amazing food. Amherst is just an anagram of 'hamster'.

Top 5:
1. Williams
2. Harvey Mudd
3. Davidson
4. Brown
5. Bowdoin

speaking of amherst, does anyone know which school students most often choose if they are accepted to both. I've heard it's amherst by a large margin, but I'm not sure.

It shouldn't surprise you that it is exactly a 50/50 split.

"Amherst and Williams are different sides of the same coin" I remember someone saying on CC. Maybe it was Gadad? All these supposed rivalries are just for fun. "It's fun to hate," I once heard a friend say. Sometimes people really believe it or get carried away, though.
