Sweet Briar or Meredith College?

I am so confused as to which I would like to attend if accepted. I just found out I was waitlisted to Meredith and I recently just put in my application to Sweet Briar and I am waiting on my recommendtions to be completed. I like them both a lot equally but I am stuck. How do I figure out which one to pick if accepted to both? Obviously if i was denied by one I would pick the other but I would love the chance to be accepted to both so that I have options.

The two schools are very similar and both sound wonderful, but some things to consider:

1.) Would you prefer to go to an isolated, rural school (SBC) or a school in a bustling city (Meredith)? Both have their pros and cons, of course. SBC has an expansive, beautiful campus perfect for hiking, riding horses, kayaking, etc. Since it's so isolated, that means pretty much all the activity will be happening right on campus. Meredith, on the other hand, is right in Raleigh. There are 100,000+ other college kids right around the corner, plus all the regular amenities and nightlife of a city.

2.) While both colleges will offer tight-knit communities, Meredith is more than twice the size of SBC in terms of students.

3.) Have you visited both campuses? That would probably be the ultimate thing to do to decide!

Hi! I'm currently a sophomore at Sweet Briar! I love it! Have you visited? We would love for you to join us on campus and get a feel for life at The Briar! If you have any specific questions, I would love to answer them or just talk about Sweet Briar with you! Just let me know

How do you feel about the city location vs rural?

I like both but im stuck with considering better research, volunteer and internship opportunities vs. better academics and study abroad.

Meredith is in Raleigh whih provides volunteer, research, and internships galore. I think sweet briar has better academics because of the very personal prof and student interaction. There junior year in france and in spain are well known and are supposed to be very good study abroad programs.
