Debruns,
I am a Simmons grad (from long ago ) and I urge your daughter to look at it. I have kept in touch with many of my classmates, and the women I went to school with there are some of the most accomplished people I've ever met. Wonderful sense of community and they've upgraded many of the facilities. There are two separate campuses, one with the academic buildings and one with the residential buildings.
They are no more than a 5 minute walk from each other. The location is great, with a quick walk to the subway line, and access to hundreds of thousands of other college students.

Thanks momof3sons, I hope they will look at it. They go back and forth, "I heard this great, then "I heard the food stinks", etc., etc. I will make it part of a larger grouping of colleges, but I think it might be better to wait until school starts....the "flavor" of the school wont be there in the summer. For a women's college I think it's better idea, especially since it wasn't a first choice.

^I'll be attending Simmons as an undergrad this fall... I know this shouldn't be one of the main factor in choosing your school, but the food is actually really good! I took a tour of the school and there were so many organic and diverse options for food... I think the worst thing I noticed in the tour were the wild turkeys lurking around the dorms. Yes, wild turkeys in the middle of Boston.

I will, however, try to transfer to one of the seven sisters (hopefully Smith!) after my first semester. It's just a dream that Simmons can't steal.
