unweighted GPA: 3.556
SAT SCORE: 1870
Cr: 560
Math: 650
Writing: 660
I know im not the best test taker but ihave taken challenging courses in my school and I have gotten Good grades!! Atleast B and Higher!!
My Extracurriculars are good, but just by looking at those ABove and My Declared Major, Chemistry, would any of the 7 sisters or the 5(all women) left accept me?

I hope U'll definitely get in too!!! What your interests? 4 seniors ( Im currently a junior) from my school have gotten into Bryn Mawr, Barnard, and Wellesley. I asked around about them because I really wantto go to those schools too, minus Barnard ( i have no chance).
Anyways the girl who got into Wellesley made herself stand out by emphasizing her creative aspects.... You should do the same with your strengths =D!
Best of luck!

the five might be hard to get into due to stats, albeit not impossible
but why not open up your options to Agnes Scott or Simmons in order to make your chances even better

Yeah, the stats are rather dauting. However, the stats for getting in as a freshman are easier than trasnfer (15%)
I'm a chem major as well- I've got some great stories to tell for essays and interviews, so I'm hoping that my SAT (1950) will not break my chances. (Their average for single tests is over 680)

I think Barnard and Wellesley are the toughest to gain admission, so those would be reaches but there's not harm in trying.
I applied to Wellesley with the early notification and was given a "possible letter"and then got in but I'm going to Barnard!

OP, your stats don't look strong enough to have a good chance at Wellesley, although not applying is the surest way not to get in. Nor do your chances at the rest of the seven sisters look good.
If you are definitely interested in a women's college, how about Simmons or (in the South) Agnes Scott, Hollins, Randolph-Macon, or Sweet Briar, or (in California) Mills? (I have no idea how strong any of them are in chemistry.)
Is there any possibility that you could bring your CR score up 100 points? That would definitely help.

Scripps in the Claremont Colleges (CA) might be an option. Not sure how their chemistry department is, but they do have cross-registration with the other Claremonts, including Harvey Mudd.

I was unaware that ANY college was accepting women now. I guess this is what you get when you vote a Muslim Socialist into office. =/

Does anyone know someone at Simmons in MA? It is really the only women's college with a business major and one of my daughter's is interested in that. The only person she knows who went there was through a friend and she transfered because of changing majors. She thought she was challenged in some areas, not others. Any thoughts on this small and less prestigious college?

Any thoughts on this small and less prestigious college? | I know people who went to Simmons and I know some girls who transferred from there. Most of the people I know who went there loved it; it has a great sense of community and has the added bonus of being right in Boston, really close to Northeastern and Boston University.
The people I know who transferred from there transferred because of changes in majors, similar to the situation with your D's friend.

Thank you for that comment. It doesn't have the beauty and ranking other women's colleges do, but I have heard good things about it and the location is great. I think it warrants a visit at least while in the Boston area.
