Based on scores and ECs, I think you have a good shot at both schools. Your rank is a tad low compared to your GPA, but every high school uses a different way to calculate GPAs. Write some good essays, and good luck!

Definitely a good chance at Mount Holyoke, provided that you write good essays and interview well!

i would say you have a good shot at either. i visited both in mid july, seems like Smith is more about numbers/grades and MHC focues a lot on writing/personal experience and what you'll bring to the campus. personally, i loved MHC and didnt get a great feeling about smith but ive heard differently

I tihnk you have a good shot at either. GPA and class rank are not so high that I would say you are a "lock" but definitely not low enough to discount.

collegehunter -- Smith is definitely a full application school, meaning they really carefully consider each part of the applicant's package (including essays, personal experiences, what they bring to the table). The most weighted thing in the application though is the transcript, that's what they'll look at first, looking not so much for highest GPA, but for students who did well in the most rigorous courses offered.
