Japanese AP vs. SAT II Japanese with listening

I am trying to decide if I should take the Japanese AP test. I took the SAT subject test in Japanese in November and got 790. I've also taken the Japanese Language Proficiency Tests, 4, 3, and 3N and passed them all. My school doesn't offer Japanese so I'd have to self-study, and my school counselor says there's no point in taking another test, because I've already proven that I'm fairly competent in the language. She urged me to concentrate on my other AP tests, Physics, Econ, and Environmental Science. On the other hand, many people on CC seem to think more is better. Advice?
