They never received my SAT scores...

I took my SAT Reasoning Test in June 2007 and my Subject Tests in October 2007. On the 29th of December I rush-reported the scores of both tests to Yale, via the online service on thecollegeboard.com.

Last Thursday, I received my Eli account ID via email. I never got the letter they said they sent. When I created my account, I discovered that none of my forms (recommendations or reports) were received, and neither had my SAT scores been.

I understand that lost mail is quite a common problem, and I'm having my forms faxed in tomorrow, but what about the SAT scores? How can it be that even after rush-reporting my scores, they haven't reached after almost a month? Should I re-send my scores, should I call Yale, or should I just wait?

Any advice would be appreciated.

It sounds like there must be some type of glitch, like a typo. Something with your application not matching up with everything else. Did they say that they had received your application and supplement?

Never, never do rush-reporting; it's a waste of money, as it just rushes the paper scores to them. They access the scores through a database online and it's available for them when it's available for you to view. I believe it says that on Yale's website and some other websites too like Harvard and Columbia.

Yes, my Common Application and Supplement were both received (both were submitted online).

Thanks for the tip about rush-reporting... My concern is that if I don't rush-report them, the SAT scores won't arrive in time, especially since I received my Eli account ID late and only found out about the missing material last week.

Don't stress too much. You self-reported the scores and they can temporarily use those. After you made it through the first few rounds they will have had your scores by then and they can check them to make sure. It won't have any affect on your admission chances. Adcoms deal with thousands of glitches and such.

Okay, this is kind of odd. I had all my forms faxed in today: the International School Supplement, the Secondary School Report, Final & Midyear Reports and both Teacher Evaluations. The Eli account states that my recommendations and high school transcript have been received, but not the School Report.

Does anyone know exactly which School Report they're referring to? Isn't it odd that some of the forms that were faxed today have been processed but not others?

It's not odd, they probably separate it and file it separately. Either that or they haven't gotten to your later stuff yet.

Okay... 4 days after I had all my forms faxed in, my School Report has still been marked as missing.

Does anyone know exactly which Report they're referring to?

I also re-sent my SAT scores on the 29th, and they're still marked as missing.

This happens everytime. Your stuff would be sorted out soon, just be patient. Since you sent them all, dont worry.

what happened to me was that on my SAT report, it was under my colloquial name (i was stupid) while their file for me was under my legal, korean name.

so when i called them, they merely combined the two accounts.

stop flipping out and call them
