Important Question-

Do we check the decision online, with our logins and passwords, or do they just send us an email?

I'm a little apprehensive because I haven't heard anything from Yale regarding how to check the decision, has anybody heard from them?

Karishma,

Back in January Yale sent an email with a login name essentially composed of initials and last name and a password to the "Eli status account." Here is what the e-mail said:

Thank you for submitting an application for the Yale College Class of 2012. We are writing to tell you that you can view a web page providing information about the material we have received for your application. We list receipt of your Common Application, Yale Supplement, application fee or fee waiver request, Teacher Recommendations, School Report, and official SAT I and II, ACT and/or TOEFL scores (if we have received the scores electronically.)

In order to access this Status page, you will need to have an active Eli account. After processing your application the Undergraduate Admissions Office mailed you (or will soon mail you) a PIN number and the instructions for setting up your Eli account.

In case you have not yet received our letter, or if you have lost the information required to set up your account, your PIN number and Eli Account ID are provided below. We encourage you to set up your account as soon as possible.

Please go to http://www.yale.edu/admit/eliaccounts and enter your PIN number and Eli Account ID. You will then be asked to create your own password. If you then go to the Undergraduate Admissions home page at www.yale.edu/admit and click on Application Status, you will use your Eli Account ID and your new password to check your application status.

Again, if you would like to be able to view the Application Status page, please activate your account as soon as possible at http://www.yale.edu/admit/eliaccounts. Please note that you will also need an active Eli account to receive your admissions decision online in early April.

Thank you for your interest in Yale, and we wish you the best with your plans for college!

If you did not get a letter or an email, you need to call them or e-mail them to get your login id and password.

Good luck!

Exactly. So, I received this e-mail, and I recently tried to check my Eli account, but I couldn't get to it. The tab that used to be on the yale.edu/admit page isn't there anymore.

Have they temporarily deactivated the accounts to update them or something? or how am I supposed to access my account?
