drugstore near campus?

Does anyone know where the closest drugstore is to campus (with OTC drugs, medicated shampoos, maybe even Burt's Bees, etc.)? I've just not noticed one on my visits and the Yale bookstore is very limited.

There's a Walgreen's a few blocks from campus at York and Frontage.

Directions here:

to: 88 York St, New Haven, CT 06511-5619 - Google Maps

StringKeyMom - D just went to Rite Aid last week to get her laundry supplies and other stuff. Apparently, it is closer to Old Campus than Walgreen. I googled on its location and found it located on Church Street. Walgreen is further south, near the medical campus.

Tafts on Whitney (near Grove) is closer to TD and Silliman. They are a little more expensive, but it is another choice.

Walgreen's is farther south, Rite Aid (which I missed when I was there) is farther east, so which one is closer probably depends on where on campus your kid lives. They're both very walkable.

Thanks, everybody! Several good options depending on current campus location.

Is it safe to walk to these places (Rite Aid, Walgreens & Tafts)?

Thanks for your inputs.

I always use walgreens, and it is safe (I wouldn't walk there at night but i really don't leave campus at night anyway). Walgreens is on York between the main campus and med school campus, not very far from either and i feel perfectly comfortable going there alone.

MC2013- Both Walgreens and Rite Aid are very safe to walk to during the day. Not to worry!
