As far as I can tell, sending additional recs is totally acceptable as long as they offer new insight into your character/accomplishments. I would, however, append to it some sort update letter written by you expressing intent to attend/any other accomplishments you've had since last updating them. Good luck!

Congratulations to all accepted!

If you are accepted, you should be very proud. It is a very tough process. Yale's kept its 15% percent or so early acceptance rate despite Harvard and Princeton decided to accept 21% and 18% of their early applicants. So you may say it is a lot harder to get into Yale than Harvard and Princeton this year.

If you are deferred, you still have hope. At least your chance with Yale are better than applicants deferred by Harvard and princeton because both schools accepted more early applicants and, thereby, make RD harder.

everybody should join the deferred thread
it feels a lot better knowing that there's so many other people who know what i'm feeling right now, being deferred
but then again i wish they wouldn't have deferred so many people because it almost feels like the deferral doesn't even mean anything

but....then again......if they hadn't deferred so many people, i probably wouldn't have gotten deferred.

so i guess it's all good how it is right now

So yesterday when Yale's decisions had come out (5 pm est) and Yale's server was frozen, I tried to get on this thread and CC was down! I was basically freaking out for like 20 minutes because I had nothing to do.

Glad it's over

Hi Asianboy88,
Isn't the question what percent of class they admitted...not what percent of the early applicants? Or does that work out to be basically the same thing?

What did you expect? SCEA's done.
Also, can anyone else not believe it's only been 13 days since decisions came out? It feels like it's been so much longer...

I can't believe it has been less than 2 weeks. I guess all those accepted happily went off, those rejected are now shunning this forum, and us deferred are busy with apps lol. I still check this thread whenever I log on cc (quite often as I keep checking the MIT ask chris thread but I just submitted that so maybe less now). This thread kindof feels homey lol

^ I agree. I hope the 29th is a good day but it has the potential to be pretty crushing :/. Is Yale still everyone's first choice?

Yeah... won't know until it gets here.
Yale basically remains my first choice. My pride's still a bit shaken because of the deferral though...
I really want to get in! Ugh. Worst 25 days ever.
