Has anyone decided to already matriculate or are you going to apply to other colleges???

I went ahead and confirmed that I will be matriculating just now.
Basically, the only thing that could ever stop me from going is the financial aid, but if the FA at Yale isn't sufficient, it isn't going to be sufficient anywhere.

If you aren't decided by then, go to Bulldog Days if you possibly can. Indeed, go even if you have decided.

^ Agree. I was a jealous parent when I saw the incredible schedule of activities from 7:30A to 1:00 AM each day. Even though some events were offerred more than once, there was no way to fit everything in when there were multiple options for each time slot. It will give you a good taste of the abundance you are about to be offerred. Wait until you see the course catalog with about 2000 listings - you only get to take about 36-40!

Yeah, Bulldog days sounds amazing!! Are they lectures? Or just activities and tours and things like that?

It's all kind of activities--one of the best benefits is meeting people involved in all kinds of campus extracurriculars.

Do most kids attend all three days and/or stay overnight? Or do some come for just one of the days?

Most kids are there for all the days. One of the best parts of Bulldog Days is that students host prospective students in their common rooms. That way, you have a host who can show you around/give you pointers/get you into things you might not otherwise, and you also can get a sense for what housing is like.

Oh, that's interesting. I thought the idea was to go to one of the days.. With so many different activities, though, that makes sense. I was initially planning on only going to Monday's (gotta get back to school for tech week for the musical!)... Maybe I'll stay a second?

Is everyone who is admitted planning to withdraw from HPS? The financial aid is similar among HYPS, so there is no reason to keep the applications open for that reason. No reason to take a spot from another kid during RD admissions.

reach, I'm gonna enjoy having my life back =P college apps have been crazy... And MacnCheese, although I did not apply to HPS, I think there isn't necessarily a right or wrong decision about withdrawing apps. For the reasons you mentioned, if you couldn't see yourself going to one of the others (or any different school) over Yale, withdraw to help others. If you could see yourself, keep them in. I will be dropping at least a majority of mine; I'd feel terrible if I got an acceptance to a school I have no intention of going to and one or some of my friends didn't
