What is the French placement test at Yale like? I got a 4 on the AP so I will have to take the test. Is it mostly grammar and writing or would I need to practice my speaking skills as well?

In the past, it also included listening. I'll repeat a piece of advice I've given before--if you generally do well on tests, don't automatically go into the level of French the placement test recognizes. Make sure you understand what's involved and think about whether the next lower level might be better for you. I am telling you this from painful personal experience.
