SCEA Applicant: GPA/Rank Question

Applied SCEA to Yale
Unweighted GPA: 3.76
School does not weight
Rank 8/157
ACT: 35

Are my grades high enough to recieve serious consideration? Are they low enoguh that it would be extremely difficult to be admitted without everything else being stellar?

I think your fine. Your ACT score is excellent and your rank is good.

I agree, but I think you should be serious about your chances: Your GPA is going to hurt you in this newly competitive applicant pool. Don't write yourself off, because your ACT is very good, but the rest of your application had better be pretty dang good as well.
