| There are 1052 people on the wait list and even if Yale accepts 45 of them that's still less than 5%. It seems to pretty tough. Does anyone know if Yale is done with its first round of wait list acceptances.

| 1052 were offered a place on the waiting list. Usually, 2/3 of the people actually take the spot, so I'm guessing there's roughly 700 on the waitlist.
as far as I know, the first round is done, and 45 offers were made. There will be a second round in June
much of the this is hearsay |

| actually, everybody should wait until this friday, because it gives the admissions office a whole week to contact the 45 sucessful students. |

| Why do you think it would take them a full week to contact forty-five WL accepts? They would confirm the list and send emails and/or phone calls. It'd take one person one afternoon, I would think. |

| i've heard that the waiting list process takes some time, and it is not as instantaneous as many people may think. however, i think that every wait listed student should keep the WL in perspective and not stay dreaming about a miraclous acceptance to Yale. |
