SAT Writing Section @ Yale

I did very well the first time I took the SAT (2350+), including getting 800s on the Writing and CR sections. When I applied to Yale, I was under the impression that Yale counts the writing section, especially since they dropped requiring 3 SAT Subject tests.

I then happened upon a thread on CC indicating that Yale "ignores"/"doesn't count" the Writing Section of the SAT. Where is this official policy stated?

Obviously I don't really care b/c I was accepted anyways but I always was under the impression that Yale counted the Writing SAT... I apologize if this was identified somewhere else but I couldn't find it through google or the CC search feature...

Yale did not drop the requirement for subject tests. If you submit the ACT you don't have to take subject tests. If you take the SAT then you also have to submit subject tests.
