Chance my white friend for Yale

Hey guys,

One of my friends realllllly wants to go to Yale. But I don't think she has a shot. I don't want to crush her ego so I'm hoping for the best. Feel free to be as honest as possible.

SATs:
Math - 750
Writing- 740
Reading - 750

APs:
Chem - 5
AP Calc BC - 5
AP Eng lit - 5
AP US History - 5
AP Physics B - 4

She has a lot of ECs and does significant research but it's not Seimens worthy.

Impossible to say whether she would get in or not, but she definitely has a "shot." Her SATs are in the middle range for accepted applicants and her APs are good. That said, you haven't provided GPA or EC explanation so little can be deduced....

2240 is a pretty good SAT score for Ivies, I thought?
I thought anything 2200+ was good

Megavortex: Like yalie343 said, her scores place her right smack in the middle of those who have been accepted. How is that not good in any sense?

A person who is rejected due to a 2240 SAT and top GPA isn't being rejected because they don't meet academic standards.
