What did you even write about for 56 pages? I would say definitely cut it down to at most 3 or 4 pages of text. I can't imagine that it is absolutely necessary for you to talk for 56 pages about your life, why you like Yale, and why you want to transfer.
I highly, highly, HIGHLY suggest you scrap the essay and write a new, much shorter one.

The OP originally made the post about 1.5 mos ago and hasn't ret'd to CC. I think it's safe to assume that whatever advice he/she was going to take has been taken.
