Rushing Scores to Yale?

1) I've heard that when you rush scores, CollegeBoard will not longer send electronic copies--only hard copies, and that some schools will not allow rushed scores-- Is this true? If it is, does this apply to Yale?

2) Will my rushed scores get to Yale on time?

1. No idea. I am sure Yale admissions web site has something on it.

2. Probably not any sooner than rushed scores, and then these would need to be manually entered into Yale Admissions systems. Standard non-rush score reports get to Yale in a couple of days, as College Board batches and send them electronically multiple times a week (three, if I remember reading somewhere).

^I couldn't find anything on the Yale website other than what scores to send (Not how.)

The potential problem is that I already rushed my scores... I had not known they would arrive in hard-copy.

But I read on college board's website that standard score report arrives at its destination about three weeks after you ordered it whereas rushed score reporting takes 2 working days.

Therefore, cadillac, I don't see a problem getting rushed score to Yale. And I haven't come across such specific discouraging rushed reporting on Yale's website.

Hope that helps.

Yeah, turns out "rushing" is actually sort of a scam. They say about three weeks to scare people off. It actually takes 5 days ish I heard (since it's electronic). And rushing I heard takes longer.

Are you sure it's a scam? Where did you hear about that from?

Normal - three weeks
Rushed - two working days....

well I'm not sure it's a scam, but from what I heard, plus my own logic... why would you need to rush electronic scores? (it's instant transfer anyway...)

We'll I'm still now sure.. Hopefully my rushed scores will be ok..

EDIT: There's a thread somewhere about "rushing scores" where they talk about how rushing is potentially a scam
