How do you send a resume to Yale University? (Applying SCEA)

I'm applying to Yale Early Action, and I saw that there's a place to upload supplements (research papers, Word docs, etc), but the problem is, I want to send both a resume and a scientific research paper. How should I send my resume to Yale? There's 2 more days until the deadline, so would I have to mail it overnight, or better, how can I send ti electronically? Thank you!!

The best place to include your resume is in the Additional Information section of the Common App.

just to be clear, the deadline is SATURDAY night at midnight, not SUNDAY night at midnight, right?

and OP, i submitted a resume too. I attached it onto the additional info section. an admisisons officer said they forward all the related supplementary material, so if they forward your science stuff your science resume (i'm assuming that's what it's for) will get sent too.

Mail it to New Haven. It'll be scanned and included in your file, even if it arrives after the deadline. Easy as pie

Does anyone know if I can still submit a research paper supplement by mail even though I didn't check the supplement box when I submitted my common application?

xr: of course. What else would Y admissions do when your envelope comes in? They'll put it in your file, no?

The real question is what should you submit: a multi paged research paper won't get read, most likely. A synopsis (one or two paragraph) will be.

Thanks T26E4, that just made me feel better. But, I didn't check the supplement box on the common application when the direction says I was supposed to, AND the post office is closed tomorrow so I'll have to send it out Nov 2nd (yale website said it's fine if postmarked by the 2nd... I hope that will be the case.) The thing is that I mentioned my research project multiple times throughout my application, but I never explain what my project actually is, so I'm hoping that sending a research paper supplement will somewhat compensate for that.

On the yale supplement website, it specifically says that a research paper is more helpful than an abstract, so I guess I'll send a paper. Would they actually read it though? It's over twenty pages.

@wasian_girl: I put a resume in the space under "Additional Information".

This is a related question, and i don't mean to hijack the thread, but:

I'm submitting a 4-page creative writing portfolio and a résumé that documents publications, writing-related jobs and the writing programs. It's all attached to the "Additional Information" section, compiled into one document.

Since the supplementary materials themselves get forwarded to the appropriate department (here, English), do you think my résumé will be seen by admissions officers?

Or do you think that the whole package will be forwarded and the résumé will be looked over?

Sorry for the hijack again; just didn't see a reason to make a new thread.

i attached my resume document to the add info section. Mines is 2 pages plus two more significant activities on a third. My guidance counselor strongly recommended me cutting it down to two. Oh well
