Yale Short Take Limits?

Yale says "limit to fewer than 25 words."

However, their supplement gives us 175 characters.
Which takes priority?

The reason is that one of my responses is EXACTLY 25 words, but I have like 30 characters left... It would sound a lot smoother if I used the character limit instead of the word limit. Ideas?

That was the case for me in a lot of (actually, I think all) the short-takes, but I stuck to the word limit to be on the safe side. But that's just me, you should do whatever you feel best, I guess!

If it flows smoothly they won't stop to count the words. If it doesn't flow smoothly then staying within the word limit will not help you.
